On completion of this qualification, you will be able to call yourself a Certified Accounting Technician (CAT) and use the designation CAT after your name.

Special Note:  FIC is the only center in Miri that runs CBE (Computer Based Exams) for the first 4 papers. 

There are 9 papers, divided into 3 levels, all designed to test the knowledge, skills and understanding you will need to work in accounting support roles. Examinations at advanced level are equivalent to first year of a university degree and offer a choice of options to suit your career needs.

There are examination sessions per year – one in June and one in December. Students will be given completely free choice in the order and number of examinations to be taken at each session. 

It is possible to sit paper 1 to paper 4 by computer-based examinations. You can sit for these exams outside the June and December sessions and can also receive your results immediately on completion of each examination.
